Edward Gallagher aka "Eddie G"

Ed Gallagher was born into a German-Irish family the oldest son of three children of Edward and Leona Gallagher. Ed started cooking as a child helping his mom prepare family meals.

As a freshman in high school, Ed went to a local Italian restaurant and got a job working all aspects of the kitchen. This began an incredible journey in the food and beverage industry. After working there through high school, a friend recommended that Ed pursue his love of food and cooking at the Johnson and Wales culinary school.

Ed entered Johnson and Wales and fell in love with the world of culinary science from pastry arts to meat cutlery. After 4 years at Johnson and Wales, Ed graduated with two associates degrees and a Bachelors of Science degree.

Eddie G's Steakplace

Moving to Breckenridge, Colorado, Ed managed two restaurants at the Breckenridge Resort, and learned all aspects of the restaurant business. Relocating to Seabrook Island, Ed spent the summer managing three restaurants and over 100 employees and then moved to Long Island to open Gallagher's Sports Pub and Eddie G's Steakplace which was written up in the New York Times and was rated one of Long Islands greatest restaurants. The culture of the Island and subsequent transfer to Long Island created a great understanding and love for the east coast cuisine and style of cooking. This led him to his latest adventure: Coast 2 Coast Cuisine.
